Patina Turner

A furnishing tool for guys who can't picture a room and won't pay retail. Tell it your space, your budget, and the look you're after; it searches the local Craigslist secondhand listings, arranges pieces that are for sale right now into one cohesive room render, and hands back the shopping list, every item tagged to its actual listing so you can message the seller and go pick it up.

The Idea

Furnishing a first place is two problems at once: you can't picture the room, and you can't afford to buy one new. The internet's answer is a hundred open tabs and decision paralysis. This collapses all of it, describe your space and your taste and get back a room you could actually live in, built entirely from stuff for sale near you right now.

How It Works

  1. Tell it your space. The room, your budget, the look you're going for, and whatever you already own.
  2. It shops for you. It pulls the real secondhand listings near you and arranges them into one cohesive room, not a mood board, an actual staged render.
  3. Get the list. Every piece in the render is tagged to its real Craigslist listing. Message the seller, go get it, done.

The Styles

Six looks to start from: 70s, mid-century, boho, 80s, 90s punk, and a bedroom set. Each one staged out of real listings, with the original Craigslist photo tagged on every piece so you know exactly what you're buying and what it costs.

Why It Works

The furniture was never the hard part, it's the picturing. Secondhand is cheap and everywhere; what stops people is not knowing what goes together or where to start. Do the sourcing and the staging in one shot and the room stops being a project.
